Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is an American gymnast who had been both an athlete and captain for the Fierce Five team in 2012 as well as the 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. In the 2012 Olympics she won gold in both floor for the team and in individual competitions. The bronze medal was awarded by the balance bar. In 2012, she became one of the few American athlete to achieve the highest number of medals in the Olympics. She won the gold in the team event during the 2016 Olympics and made her and Gabby Douglas the first Americans to be the first pair of gold medalists back-to-back. Additionally, she was awarded silver medals for the all-around competition as well as floor workouts. After the second Olympics she was off for three years from gymnastics. Also, she was a part of gold-winning American teams in the two World Championships. When she was just 2, she began to learn gymnastics. Her favorite sport is floor exercises. Aly is an active member of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in honor of her grandmother who passed away from cancer. Aly plans on pursuing an occupation in fashion and is looking to increase her leotard line and socks in future. Fierce - a novel she's writing, will be coming out in the year ahead.
